Ahoy There Matey!!
Year 1 recently dressed up in pirate themed outfits for a swashbuckling assembly linked to their current topic, which is ‘Pirates’.
The Drama Hall was awash with eye-patches, bandanas, hooks, and obligatory toy parrots to complement the nautical theme.
During the assembly the class retold their ‘Talk For Writing’ story "The Adventures of Captain Cuttlefish" as a whole class with actions, and the audience also enjoyed a participation quiz about pirate facts. Finally the class talked about their junk modelling boats and what pirates ate!
