It has been an absolutely wonderful and amazing ride in Term 2 at the International School of Samui! Today the primary students received their end of term awards for their achievements in all areas of school life!
Mrs. Andrewartha, Deputy Headmistress led this end of term assembly and proudly congratulated all the students and honoured the students who won awards. The team captains were called onto stage and handed their roles over to the new house captains: Arda (Darwin), Tobias (Einstein), and Mook (Newton). Congratulations to Newton house for their Term 2 House Winner award. This is for academic work and sporting success and is awarded on a high-point scoring system.
The Easter Egg 2019 Decorating contest was hard to judge but the following students won for their key stage group, all the S’s and sisters, Sophia and Scarlett (what luck!):

> Reception – Scarlett
This year Einstein proudly won the Easter egg hunt cup. Not only were they awarded a large trophy but also enjoyed a chocolate bunny to share, as well as lots of mini eggs!
Following the Easter excitement, the Good manners awards were handed out. Every term our highly respected teaching assistant pick a student for this award. Their criteria for choosing a student considers not only good manners but also effort and positive attributes in an out of the classroom. The winners in term 2 were:

> Pii Raan – Ivan (Year 1)
> Pii Pak – Seanna (Year 2)
> Pii Chompoo – Ben (Year 3)
>Pii Apple – Bibi (Year 4)
> Pii Aor – Jacob (Year 5)
Our swimming medalists received all their medals from the recent Thanyapura Invitational Swim League. Huge congratulations to all the Sharks who participated in many grueling swim meets this term and for those who were awarded medals for their wins.
This week saw huge events and celebrations take place around the school and everyone had a great time. We all deserved it after a full term of hard work, perseverance and commitment through challenging moments in academic studies and all areas of school life. Congratulations to you all!
