Welcome to Our Sixth Form

Experience the best of modern education with our enhanced Sixth Form offering. We are proud to emphasise our in-person, face-to-face learning, bringing dedicated subject specialists into the classroom to guide, support, and challenge our students every single day.

On-Campus Face-to-Face Subjects

Taught directly in school by highly qualified teachers, our face-to-face courses offer direct mentorship, collaborative discussion, and an engaging classroom environment tailored to university and career preparation:

STEM: Maths, Physics, Computer Science

Humanities & Social Sciences: History, Psychology

Business & Economics: Business, Economics

Applied Vocational (BTEC): BTEC Sport, BTEC Travel and Tourism

Complementary Online Learning

To give our students maximum choice, we continue to partner with Kings InterHigh to offer a full range of online subjects. This hybrid approach ensures students can combine face-to-face classroom learning with specialised online courses to build a bespoke curriculum tailored to their individual ambitions.

These subjects include:

*Biology - Chemistry -  English Literature - English Language - Geography - Spanish

Looking Ahead: 2027 / 2028 Expansion

Our on-campus provision is only getting stronger. Building on our current face-to-face offerings, we are actively expanding our in-school subject options for the 2027 / 2028 academic year, bringing even more expert-led classroom courses to our campus.

BTEC Level 3 Qualifications

BTEC Level 3 courses are also available in Travel and Tourism and Sport. These are vocational alternatives to AS and A Levels, and are fully taught at ISS, by subject-qualified, experienced full-time staff. BTEC progress and achievement (Pass, Merit or Distinction) are assessed regularly during the course, so these courses do not require final examinations on completion, and previous BTEC study is not required.

Examinations

ISS is a Cambridge Assessment and Pearson Edexcel registered exam centre. Given our international status, students have the option to ‘stage’ their examinations (sit AS Level exams in Year 12), or sit both AS and AL exams in Year 13.

University / Careers Counselling

All Sixth Form students have regular one-to-one meetings for careers and university advice with our experienced Head of Sixth Form. Each student is registered with Unifrog to research international university and careers options and scholarship opportunities, and develop a portfolio of relevant activities and experiences. University applications are closely monitored by the Head of Sixth Form, and application documentation is fully supported by our teaching staff and admissions department, including via central admissions systems such as UCAS (UK), TCAS (Thailand) and Common App (USA).

Sixth Form Life

All ISS Sixth Form students benefit from full inclusion in the school community as part of the wider ISS Senior School. They are assigned a go-to member of staff as their form tutor to oversee their pastoral care, and have access to the school’s staff and outstanding facilities, with regular Team Sports and Physical Education, PSHE and Thai Culture lessons. Many Sixth Form students organise and lead their own extra-curricular activities, and all have access to our wide and ever-changing range of free clubs and activities, and private on-site music lessons.
