The Conservation Team at Big Blue Diving descended upon the International School of Samui, armed with an enthusiasm for marine life and a desire to introduce students to the marvels of the ocean, its peculiar inhabitants, and the rather inconvenient mess humans often make of it.
Our students got a glimpse into the world of research science, climate change, pollution, and other headaches currently afflicting the ocean. There were also lively discussions about marine migrations, the fundamental differences between mammals, fish, and crustaceans, and the wonderfully strange partnerships that exist in the ocean.
Students were involved in beach clean ups and how to turn beach litter into colorful depictions of marine life.
Students got the opportunity to take their first breaths underwater and another 25 (U8) perfect the fine art of snorkeling and duck diving.
