ISS is very proud of Grigory and Petr Volkov for their success at the Pattaya Open Chess competition.
The competition attracted 261 participants from 31 different countries (including 6 Grand Masters) and took place over a ten day period from the 19th to the 30th of October. Both of the boys fought amazingly hard against skilled opponents.
Special mention for Petr who achieved a commendable third place in the Under 10 division and now ranks as a rated member of the International Chess Federation (FIDE).
