Monday was devoted to a day of revision organisation and the putting into practice of effective learning strategies.
This year at ISS, the teaching and learning focus has been on how to adapt effective learning theories and put them to use in the classroom, particularly in the planning of lessons, both short and long term. As an extension of this focus, Year 11 students, who are currently starting their IGCSE subject revision, and will be sitting mock exams in January, were treated to a day-long workshop intended to maximise their memory capacity and lay the foundation for a systematic approach to revising.
