Report from Mr. Andrewartha:
For the first seven weeks of this term, Year 4 had been learning about ancient Egypt. At the end of this topic, we had a fun-filled day of ancient Egyptian-themed activities. In the morning, we had a school trip to the south of the island where we went to see the Mummified Monk at Wat Khunaram temple. This was a fascinating trip for the Year 4 pupils who had been learning about the process of mummification.
In the afternoon, parents were invited to come and watch the Year 4 class assembly where pupils performed plays they had written about ancient Egypt and showcased other work they had produced over the course of their studies. This proved to be an excellent end to this topic and the pupils were very proud to share their achievements.
