Year 7 Explores Thai Culture Through Art and Nature

The students in Year 7 went on an Arts and Craft Thai culture trip, learning about local plants, tasting some of their leaves and fruits, and learnt how to split the fiber of the banana tree bark. The students saw how the banana strings would dry in the sun before the students knotted them into banana leaf bags. The trip was great fun, and we thank all the wonderful ladies at Bann Namwa Samui for the collaborative activity of the Thai & Art departments at ISS.
