Year 9 students have continued with their study of Tennessee Williams’ classic American play 'A Streetcar Named Desire', focusing on Blanche’s delusion due to Stanley’s brusque and despicable behaviour. Looking at Blanche’s tumultuous and traumatic past, the class have been able to analyse what triggers Blanche’s state of mind through Williams’ use of expressionism and realism within the play.
