Year 9 ventured to Island Organics to inspect their sustainable farming practices, seeing how nitrates can be derived from both the worm and fish farm and then used in the aquaponics system was a wonderful educational experience. They finished the trip by using ingredients from the farm to cook Pad Thai, Green Curry, Papaya Salad and finally, Coconut Ice-Cream.
