Next week, a group of Year 8 students will visit Cambodia on the first field trip of its kind at ISS, which will be a unique hands-on experience for all involved. The students have been studying Khmer Rouge poetry and will visit the former S21 Prison, Tuel Sleng, and the Choeung Ek Genocidal Centre. They will also develop their photography skills, create observational sketches of The Killing Fields and learn about the atrocities of Pol Pot's regime, which cost the lives of nearly 3 million innocent Cambodians, a third of the population.
