Climate Change on the Primary School Agenda

Primary students based their Friday assembly on a speech given by the young climate change activist Greta Thunberg, discussing what climate change means, and analysing her choice of words and expressions such as her famous utterance “How dare you?”

Kalina from Year 4 read a letter to Mrs Andrewartha about the problems at school which cause climate change, and what we can do to help, prompting Mrs Andrewartha to commit to addressing these issues and make genuine changes at school.

Years 4 to 6 also took part in a poetry competition, performing their poems about climate change. Special mention goes to Bibi, Theo, Sonic, Sara, Ruby, Sasha, Petr, Leo, Sophia Hawkes and Mine for their excellent poetry.
