Seventeen boxes full of Christmas charity donations from ISS parents and students have arrived at Sunshine Home in Mae Sot, along with a 5000 Baht boost for the Samui Dog and Cat Rescue Centre provided by the Christmas Market.
Sunshine Home is a charity supported by former ISS teacher Louise Wakelin on the Thai / Myanmar border to support the children of refugees. This year's bumper collection of clothes and toys was very gratefully received and we thank all those who generously donated.
The 2019 Christmas market was the biggest to date, with over 30 stalls made up from parents, students, the Green Market and local businesses. Not only does the market raise badly needed funds for local charities chosen by the students, but also develops relationships within the community. Many thanks to all those who invested so much of their time, especially Mr. Armitage and the Student Council.
