Dear Parents,
Happy New Year! I hope that you have all had a lovely break with your families. I am writing to you to invite you to the next swimming competition on our calendar, The Thanyapura invitational hosted by Rocket science. This event is traditionally held in the last weekend of March, however, this year it has been moved to February 16th-18th which is during our half term break. I think this is due to a clash with other events that Thanyapura are hosting and I was only made aware of this in December.
We will travel as a team from Samui on Friday 16th of February and return on Monday 19th February. The competition will start on the Friday evening with the infamous open water swim which is always an exciting watch, it will then continue throughout Saturday and conclude on Sunday afternoon with an awards ceremony. All the details of the event will be emailed to you along with this letter.
In the past some parents have opted to take their children from the group on the Sunday after the conclusion of the event, therefore I have offered two price options below, one for the entire trip (3 nights at Thanyapura) and the other for parents that wish to take their child on Sunday after the conclusion of the event (2 nights at Thanyapura).
If you wish for your child to attend the event then can you please fill out the permission slip below and return it with full payment by Friday 19th January.
Price: For parents that wish to collect their child on Sunday from Thanyapura: 10,100B For parents that wish to collect their child on Monday from Nathon: 12,300B
If your child will not be travelling, eating and staying with the team then please contact me for a price for them.
Unfortunately Thanyapura only have a limited number of rooms available and I have not been able to secure any rooms for parents. If you would like a recommendation of nearby accommodation where some parents have stayed before then please do not hesitate to get in touch with me. Once I have received payment from all those attending I will send a more detailed timetable for the weekend.
