Winning streak for ISS students at the Koh Samui Wrestling tournament

Last Sunday, 24th March, three ISS students competed in the Koh Samui Submission Wrestling Open. Cord Biggs, the father of Jet (year 8) talked us through the event:

‘It was a Grappling tournament held at Superpro Samui last Sunday. Grappling is a combination of wrestling and Jiu Jitsu and you can win by submission or referee's decision. The event included an adults’ and childrens’ division, which were then separated by weight classes. In the kids division they had a heavyweight and lightweight division, each match lasts for 5 minutes'.

The ISS students including Jetrin Biggs, Artem and Yasha (Iakov) did remarkably well. Notably Yasha (year 5) winning the lightweight division and Jetrin (year 8) taking the win in the heavyweight division.

Congratulations to all the competitors!
