26th September 2017 – Year 2 visited Big Buddha and Plai Laem temple. When the students arrived at Big Buddha they climbed the 20-30 steps and walked around the viewing platform. They talked about the different statues and the type of materials used to build this famous landmark. The children also learned some interesting facts about Big Buddha. After that the school bus drove the children to Plai Laem temple where they fed the fish and visited the main temple to do some observational drawing. They all left really enjoying their morning out, learning about the different materials used in building the temples and the reasons why they were chosen.
